Steps to Apply OBC Certificate online
Firstly, you have to login to the tnega website. If you are a new user then register an account in tnega website. I you have any doubts regarding this then read my article by clicking below link.

If you login to the website with the username and password. Then it redirects to the new page looks like below image. Just click the revenue department option in that new page.
Then a list of services in revenue department are displayed in the next window. Here, we have to apply for OBC certificate. So choose REV -115 Other Backward Classes option to apply online in the list of services.
Then next you have to click proceed button to go to the next window. This window just gives the information about the supporting documents and application fees.
Then application of this certificate will open in anew window. If you enter your can number or mobile number then it will automatically fill your basic details. Just enter your can number or mobile number then click search option to find your details and get verified through OTP through your mobile number.
Then choose your status of father or husband and mother, their occupation, designation, pay of scale, etc. Ten proceed to the next page.
Then you have to enter the supporting documents in given format and storage such as photo, aadhar card, income certificate,community certificate, etc
Finally, make payment of RS.60 and submit your self declaration form. You can get an acknowledgement form to download. Download and save it for further reference.

What is the validity period of OBC Certificate?
The validity of the this certificate ends at every year of march 31. After that it is not valid. If you got certificate on march 29 also then it ends at march 31 of that year.
What is creamy and Non creamy layer?
Creamy Layer – Those family’s are having annual income above 8 lakh per year are under this category. They are not eligible to apply this certificate.
Non Creamy Layer – Those family’s are having annual income below 8 lakh per year are under this category. They are eligible to apply this certificate to get age relaxation, allotment, etc.
