Purpose to Apply Nativity Certificate
This certificate is essential for go to abroad for work or residing in other countries. If you want to join any job in abroad means you must submit your nativity certificate to join there.
Procedure to Apply Nativity Certificate
In this article, i am going to explain “how to apply for nativity certificate online in Tamil Nadu”. As i told earlier in my previous articles, it is essential to register an account and CAN number in tnega website.

Firstly, login to the tnega website. Once you register your account then just login with your name and password.
Then click “revenue department” to apply this certificate online. Then it redirects to the next page which is having list of services available in the revenue department.
Further you have to click REV – 102 Nativity Certificate here. If you click the link then it will moves to next window which is having the details and supporting documents to apply online.
This is the new window i mentioned in above paragraph. You don’t want to fill anything here. You just read all the information given here and click “proceed” button.
Then you have to enter your CAN number to search your account. And verified through OTP sent through your mobile number that it belongs to you.
Nativity Certificate Application Form
When apply to the nativity certificate either you have to choose nativity by birth or nativity by residence as per your choice.
If you are in birth place then choose nativity by birth. If you are in other place then choose nativity by residence.
Then the application form will open in new window. If you choose the first option then you’t want to fill anything in the form.
It will automatically filled by can number. If you choose the second option then you have to enter your current residing address.
Then download the self declaration form, sign it and scan it to upload. And also upload all the supporting documents in given format and size.
After uploading all the documents make payment of RS.60 through your debit card, credit card or net banking. Then an acknowledgement receipt will printed on the screen. You can download it for the further reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long it will take to get Nativity Certificate through Online?
It will take up to 15 to 30 days to get this certificate through online. If you apply offline too it will take up to one month.
